We enjoy getting together now and again for social occasions including meals.

Following an enjoyable walk for Club Rambling Day in Carrog in early July, 8 members enjoyed a meal at The Grouse Inn, Carrog.

We went to The Pen y Bryn in November 2024 when 11 of us enjoyed one another's company over a delicious meal.

22 members enjoyed a lovely meal at Virgilios in Colwyn Bay on 19th January 2023. We were all very impressed with the food and the service. As well as being the annual dinner, we were also celebrating 35 years of Abergele Ramblers, which was formed in September 1987.

On Wednesday 20th April we celebrated the upcoming 80th birthday of JK who is  our most active leader having recently received a certificate for leading over 100 walks for the group.  We  enjoyed another delicious meal at the Sakura in Abergele.

We returned to the Sakura in Abergele for another very enjoyable meal in November 2021 and many of us have decided that it would be a good idea to hold social events every 3 or 4 months.

On Wednesday 15th September 20 of us enjoyed a Chinese meal in Abergele. It was a wonderful occasion and everyone was very pleased to be able to enjoy a social event after 18months of not being able to.  All of us enjoyed a delicious meal and good company and wish to hold more such events.

Due to Covid restrictions, after the Annual dinner in January, we enjoyed a few walks before going into lockdown in March 2020.  It was September 2020 before we returned to group walking.  After a few very pleasurable walks we unfortunately went back into lockdown in December.

We hope to to resume on May 2nd 2021 and have a Spring/Summer of friendly walking and fun!

The Annual dinner this year (2020) was on 12th January when 19 members and friends returned to the Bod Erw for an excellent meal.  A very enjoyable afternoon.

On Sunday 7th July 2019, 15 of us made our way to Bala for a wonderful day of walking.  The weather was kind to us and ideal for walking as it was sunny but not too hot.  After leaving Bala we walked along the side of the river before crossing fields and following tracks before  starting the climb up Moel y Garnedd.  At the summit the 360 degree views were wonderful.  It made a lovely lunch stop.  After making our way down we found the Mary Jones centre where most of us enjoyed an ice cream before continuing our walk by the side of the lake. At the end of the walk some of us went to a local Bistro for a very good meal.  A wonderful day which was enjoyed by all!
