The Club

Abergele Rambling Club is one of several walking groups in North Wales.  It was founded in September 1987 by a newly retired group of friends who were fit and active and wanted to explore the beautiful countryside of North Wales. Abergele is in the middle of North Wales and is therefore ideally placed to explore the whole of the area, from Anglesey to Flintshire, from Llangollen to Caernarvon. This includes the Anglesey coast, northern Snowdonia, the Clwydian range, Mynydd Hiraethog and more.

At present we walk most Sundays (weather permitting!). Our walks are emailed to members, and you will find the next few walks on this site. Our walks are usually 6 to 9 miles in length and vary in character, from total ascents of up to 2,000feet  to more pastoral settings. We try to be environmentally friendly, so we car share with a member who lives close by whenever possible.

Please note that as most of our walks pass through pastures with grazing cattle or sheep, they are not suitable for dogs.

Membership costs £12 per year (Oct - Sept), but you are very welcome to join us on a couple of walks before paying your subscription.

Please see upcoming walks page for more details.  Before coming on a walk it is useful to read the Guide/Health & safety page for important information.
